Carrying a camera to me is second nature. If I could compare it to something, I feel it would be similar to having your phone in hand. It just feels natural to want to have it with me throughout the day.
Although I don't have it with me everyday, I am reminded the significance of having my camera with me when fun moments may arise. I am an observer and enjoy watching people in the everyday, mundane life. It seems that finding the fun and witty moments in the everyday makes life more fun.
Life is more enjoyable when you can slow down and notice your surroundings. I enjoy taking part with documenting my life because for so long, I only took pictures of the planned and expected moments of portrait sessions for families. Documentary photography has helped to create life with my work. It shows how authentic and unique real life can be when you don't do anything but observe and capture.
