LEIGHANN
EDMONDS

It is in the simplest of places where I find the most inspiration.

Photography doesn't need to be loud or complicating, it just needs to be real.

finding connection

It wasn't until recent, did I learn to value and understand the gift that my grandfather unknowingly passed down to me. Although he unfortunately passed away many years prior to my birth, I often feel that I am closer to him than I once realized.

David Allen McCluskey was a skilled and gifted photographer in the 1950's and '60's. His observations are all too familiar, making me believe that I didn't discover photography all on my own, but rather, it was always within me.

With the recent discovery of his works that were hidden away in an attic for over 50 years, I decided to obtain ownership and revive the images on print in 2022.

It wasn't until I took the time to sort through and study the body of work he left behind, did I feel a connection with my own work and with a man I never knew.

This process has allowed me to grow and learn more about my own vision and direction as a photographer as I return back to the traditional values of photography in a highly sought after and enhanced digital world.
